Human Tissue Therapy

Homologous Use ONLY

Human Tissue Therapy (HTT) can be an alternative to invasive surgery. HTT focuses on the repair, replacement and reconstruction of the patient’s own tissue. HTTs are reconstructive treatment options using donated, processed human cells and tissues that are injected into the body to promote repair and reconstruction.

A wide range of tissues and cells have been used in Human Tissue Therapies:

  • Amniotic Tissue is used to address inflammatory conditions.
  • Human Collagen is administered routinely to address skin defects.
  • Donated Cartilage can address various joint conditions in the upper and lower extremities.
  • Tendon Grafts are routinely implanted to address sports injuries.
  • Human Bone Allografts are used for bone fusions in orthopedic indications.

Human Tissue Therapy — Potential Applications

Degenerative Joint Disorders

Sports Injuries
Osteoarthritis & Joint Pain

Soft Tissue Injuries

Ligament & Tendon Sprains
Muscle & Meniscus Tears

Inflammatory Conditions

Bursitis & Tendonitis
Fasciitis

Human Tissue Therapy Characteristics

Regulation of Inflammation

HTTs are thought to regulate inflammation in the body and to help reconstruct new, healthy tissue.

Stem Cell Recruitment

Growth Factors are naturally occurring in HTTs. Growth Factors are responsible for the recruitment of the body’s stem cells to promote the tissue repair and reconstruction process.

Non-Steroidal

HTTs are naturally occurring, they do not contain steroids or other pharmaceuticals. Because of the nature of the human tissue the potential for long-term negative health implications is limited.

Non-Immunogenic

HTTs are thought to express immuneprivileged antigens, which may reduce the risk of graft intolerance. We believe there is very little risk of foreign body reaction

Insurance Coverage Might Be Available

Human Tissue Therapies for Degenerative Joint Disorders, Inflammatory Conditions and Sports Injuries can be expensive.

When conservative or standard treatments no longer provide the desired outcome, your insurance plan might be covering your Human Tissue Therapy expense.

Talk to your health care provider to find out if your insurance plan qualifies for Human Tissue Therapy reimbursement.

Why should you consider Human Tissue Therapy?

NON-INVASIVE TREATMENT:

Most HTTs are applied in a clinic setting. Physicians usually suggest returning to non-high impact activities shortly after the application.

NATURAL & NO ADDED DRUGS:

HTTs are naturally occurring human tissues with no added substances.

START HEALING:

Your body utilizes HTTs to reconstruct and repair injured tissue. Most physicians using HTTs see the full effects of the application within a few months.

Disclaimer: Human Tissue Therapies, as we use that term here, are minimally manipulated cells and tissues intended for homologous use only. None of the mentioned statements have been evaluated by the FDA. As defined in 21 CFR 1271.3(c), homologous use means the repair, reconstruction, replacement, or supplementation of a recipient’s cells or
tissues with an HTT/P that performs the same basic function or functions in the recipient as in the donor. Human Tissue Therapies are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The treatments described in this marketing sheet are not considered to be standard of care for any of the mentioned conditions or diseases.
